Val Griggs, Founder and President of our nonprofit Operation Restorations, sits down with Anne Ortega, co-owner of Northern Pine Brewery in Oceanside to talk about their Legiontown Project. Legiontown is their newest craft beer. And, it’s not just any ordinary beer — it’s specially crafted and brewed in honor of American Legions who support our nation’s veterans from coast to coast.
Anne, and her Marine veteran husband, Aaron Ortega, want to support Operation Restorations by spreading the word of our mission through every can sold, and by growing their Legiontown distribution outside of their two stores in Oceanside and Del Mar.
Partnerships like Northern Pine Brewery give our mission to save, restore, and revitalize American Legion posts across the nation a bigger voice. It’s been Val’s vision to partner with brands who can help elevate the message about what we’re doing, why we’re doing it, and who we’re doing it for – and in turn help our partners to expand their brands and grow their businesses. What better way to do that than with the help of veterans themselves who share our passion for community, service, and improving the lives of our veteran heroes and the legions they go to for vital services and programs for themselves and their families?
